Coach: REAGAN ROOF
OFFENSE
The Weatherford Eagles enter this season looking to make a deep playoff run after a first-round playoff exit last year. Head coach Reagan Roof likes the makeup of his team and is excited about this season. “We have high expectations for this team,” Roof said. “We did not play a single senior on defense last year, so we have all eleven starters returning plus several others that were in the rotation. Offensively we return seven starters. We believe if we can stay healthy, we should have a good group.” The Eagles have two big impact wide receivers back this season in CJ Nickson (6-5, 230, Jr.) and Nick Jett (5-9, 150, Jr.). The duo combined for 1,193 receiving yards and seventeen touchdowns. Stone Chism (6-2, 220, Jr.) will direct things at quarterback. Jackson Blackmon (5-11, 195, Jr.) will be looking for open running lanes as a running back. He ran for 631 yards and six scores a year ago and will try to make an even bigger impact this season. Cutler Rollins (6-1, 270, Jr.) and Slone Case (6-0, 260, Sr.) are going to anchor the offensive line and keep the defense out of the backfield.

DEFENSE
The Eagles will look to strong and physical play on the defensive side of the ball. Leading that charge will be the defensive linemen. Carter Teasley (5-11, 190, Sr.), Nickson, and Rollins. This group accounted for 114 tackles, four sacks, and two interceptions last season and looks to increase production this year. Steele Chism (5-10, 195, Jr.) registered 116 tackles at linebakcer last year and should continue that play into this season. The secondary will be led by defensive backs Logan Doyals (5-9, 155, Sr.) and Austin Shields (6-1, 160, Sr.). Last season, Shields had 56 tackles and an interception, while Doyals tallied 30 tackles and a pick. Taylor Sossamon, Rob Renshaw, Cody Cantrell, Cory Miller, Blaine Perkins, Dyllan Haworth, and Preston Roof.
