Nickson named to Southwestern Oklahoma Football Players to Watch List – Presented by Weatherford Complete Dental

Garrett Gribble – Altus

He is always ready to help his team and never complains about any job he is given.

Brad Neal – Anadarko

Neal is a strong and physical lineman that does a great job of keeping the defense out of the backfield. 

Tyson Laster – Ardmore

Tyson started at corner and running back as a freshman. He was one of the team’s most productive players in 2023. He has a tremendous upside and loves football.

Rayden Crow – Bray Doyle

Crow is an outstanding receiver and can catch just about anything thrown his way. He is always a tough matchup for his opponent.

Dakoda Weese – Burns Flat-Dill City

Dakoda is the quarterback. He has a high football IQ while also being willing and able to run the ball himself.  

Christain Bennett – Cache

A very strong and fast athlete with a great motor. Also a great leader on and off of the field.  

Weston Burcum – Carnegie

Weston always gives it his all in whatever he does. He is a multi-sport athlete that is always working to get better. 

Jason Kawaykla – Chickasha

He is a bigtime playmaker that runs and throws the ball with not much issue. He is a leader of the team’s offense. 

Zaedon Collins – Clinton

A big, Strong, and fast inside linebacker that runs a 4.6 40 time. Collins is also a 1,000 yard rusher on the offensive side.

Colby Shannon – Comanche

Colby ended last season with 867 yards on offense and six touchdowns. On defense, he totaled 43 tackles and five interceptions. He looks to continue that strong production this season.

Nash Harman – Cyril

He is a great kid that carries good grades in the classroom. He is also an outstanding athlete that will play a big role this season.

Austin Maddox – Dibble

Austin is a wide receiver, defensive back, and punt returner that will make a big impact this year. He is a dynamic player with great speed and hands. He has the school season record for receiving and receiving touchdowns for Dibble. He is being recruited by OBU.

Dejuan Williams – Dickson

An outstanding athlete on the field, Williams will be a key in the Comets’ running game this season. 

Sawyer Rice – Duncan

Sawyer is a great athlete, who started on both sides of the ball last season. He loves to compete and is a two-sports athlete. He is fast and athletic and has a tremendous upside.

Colyn Donnelly – Elgin

A leader on the defense, Colyn is a four-year starter. He has had back to back seasons with over 120 tackles.  

Tucker Garza – Elk City

Garza is a solid athlete that can run the ball well. He has worked hard in the offseason and should be an impact player this season. 

Dawson Milligan – Elmore City-Pernell

Dawson is an exciting player with all of the tools to be a great running back. Great speed and strength.  

Chase Kaspereit – Empire

Chase is a key player on Empire’s defense. He was a force on the defensive line last season and will continue to cause problems for offenses this season.

Hunter Carroll – Fox

Carroll is a strong and physical lineman that does a great job of helping his team be successful. 

Roo Franklin – Healdton

Roo is one of the most dynamic players on the team. He has played both running back and wide receiver and has been a weapon at both positions. On the defensive side of the ball, he has also played linebacker and defensive back and was Healdton’s leading tackler last year. 

Ty Harmon – Hobart

Ty is a three-year starter at quarterback for Hobart and is a very explosive player on offense. He has a chance to take the ball the distance every time he touches it.

Pena Vasisgote – Lawton

Pena is one of those special talents. He plays a few sports at Lawton and he excels at each of them. He will be an impact player on the football field this season. 

Serri Sheridan – Lawton Eisenhower

He had over 1,000 yards total for the team last year that bounced back from a 2-8 season. Serri is a great kid who is a scary matchup for any team because he can play anywhere on the field. Smart player who understands the game of football and takes advantage on both sides of the ball. 

Adam Auston – Lawton MacArthur

He is a big and aggressive safety with offers from 15 power five schools. 

Manuel Aguero – Lindsay

A really outstanding receiver, Aguero is a smart player that is an asset to the team. He will be a key player this season.  

Keller Stanley – Lone Grove

Keller has tremendous upside heading into his junior year and with a great summer, he continues to work hard and master his craft for the years to come.

Kristopher Grimaldo – Madill

Kris is an incoming freshman that already has an offer from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He should receive significant playing time on offense and defense.

Landon Hutton – Mangum

Hutton is an athlete that does everything right. He never misses, is never late, and you never have to worry about off the field. On the field he is a menace that uses his technique, instincts, and effort to shine every Friday night.  

Jonathan Brite – Marlow

He will split time at tailback this season. He has a big frame at 195 pounds and is the defending track champion in the 100 and 200 meters.

Noah Alviso – Maysville

Noah is an exceptional player with great size and speed. He was Maysville’s defensive MVP last season, as well as an All-District player. He will play center and be the leader of the offense and defense this year. 

Brylan Jones – Merritt

Brylan is a four-year starter at quarterback. He is smart, athletic, and has a good arm and great feet. 

Carson Littlejohn – Minco

A four-year starter that will be very important to the Bulldog’s success this year on both sides of the football. Very hard working young man that could have a chance to play at the next level.

Zech Payne – Mountain View-Gotebo

Zech is big and extremely strong. Has good feet, great hands and is a smart football guy. Great leader for the youth of the team.

Jhett Price – Plainview

Jhett is a big athletic player that starts on both sides of the ball. He is versatile with the ability to play multiple positions.

Kysen Fincher – Ringling

Dynamic athlete that can play multiple positions on both sides of the ball. Fincher will undertake a tremendous workload this season.  

Chris Crow – Rush Springs

Has a chance of being a real double threat offense and defense. Chris is looking to have a big season.

Carsen Rodriguez – Ryan

Carsen is a four-year starter for the Cowboys. He has played multiple offensive and defensive positions over the last three years. He is a consistent team leader and honor student. Last year he rushed for 1,332 yards and 22 touchdowns. 

Zane Allen – Sayre

A senior and three-year starter, Zane is a defensive back and running back. He is a multi-sport player, also playing basketball and track.  

Blaize Rogers – Snyder

Blaize is a senior and is asked to play many different positions and just does what is asked of him. A hard working kid.

Luke Forman – Thackerville

Forman is a hard worker that always gives it his all, no matter what he is doing. He looks to have a big season for the Wildcats this season. 

Mitchell Babcock – Tipton

Mitchell is a great program guy. He will be called on to fill a spot on the offensive line this year and he is ready for the task. He never misses practice or a workout. He is a tough kid that keeps getting better. He always does the right thing.  

Brodric Spigner – Velma-Alma

Spigner is quick and explosive and has a great motor. He is looking to have a solid season for the Comets this year.

Jaxton Simmons – Waurika

Sophomore starting quarterback and cornerback. Two way starter as a freshman last year. He is Waurika’s biggest offensive weapon and one of the team’s top defenders.  

CJ Nickson – Weatherford

CJ is a tremendous young man and an exceptional athlete. He is also a standout basketball player. He has 15-plus D1 football offers at this point.  

Hunter Roberts – Wilson

Hunter is a player with rising stock. He has worked hard in the offseason. He has worked hard in the weight room and has the potential to have a great two years for Wilson and then play at the next level.
